Heading Further East

The path begins to look like it's curving to the left. The wind seems chillier in spite of being from the south. The trees on the shoreline remain thin enough to allow keep the momentary breakout of sun from feeling too warm. You keep glancing over your shoulder and it is still getting darker behind you.

You wonder, again, if it is worth going further.

There's the choice to go west, back toward the cabin, or to continue along the shore east in spite of the rising wind and the chill. You really should have brought along at least a light jacket. "Be Prepared" begins to seem like a good scout motto, after all.
