Inside the Cabin

The shutters rattle and the rain becomes heavy.

You light the second lantern, take a cursory look at the books and turn back to examine the cabin.

On the table is something you didn't notice before (if it was there at all). It is a quill pen standing ready in an old glass lined inkwell. A stack of paper is to one side.

You smile.

Later, you will light a fire if the temperature continues to fall. Either way, you have been reminded of the reason for being here. The days ahead will be uninterrupted and you will get the story written!

Sit and begin to write - Leave the cabin
