Inside the Cabin

You turn off the flashlight. Even though you have spare batteries in your knapsack, you will use the lantern while you can. You notice a jerry can marked "Kerosine" beside the cabin's still open door.

Spinning slowly on the polished wood floor, you wonder why there doesn't seem to be any grit on the bottom of your sneakers from all your walking along the path.

You noticed, earlier, a large woodpile beside the cabin, so you will be able to stay warm with a fire in the stove you see in one corner. The bed is along one wall beside it. Another wall is occupied by a sink with a hand pump. The final wall is entirely covered with bookshelves, full from floor to ceiling. There's a comfortable-looking Morris chair and a small table with a second lantern on it.
