KDE Promotion Ideas

Update (10-10-10) First run of the zip file (66.5MB) promo package, put together based on all the recommendations from the kde-promo mailing list.

Here's a set of graphics which were pasted together in Inkscape. They are easy to arrange so that three images are on one PDF document set up to print on a U.S.Letter size page (Can also be done on A4, I'm sure). Avery makes a full sheet of label paper. Take the PDF to any commercial printer and have it printed on the label sheets. The printed PDF then is easy to slice in thirds to make "bumper" stickers. These stickers can, therefore, be printed locally for any KDE Promo event.

Justin Kirby recommended contacting the KDE-Promo mailing list to see which, if any, of these slogans are of interest.
Please also recommend other slogans.

Please post your recommendations/comments/concerns to the KDE-Promo list.

As a request, for expanding the concept, I've done a version which will print 12 "case" stickers on a single full-sheet of label paper. (The original sticker was three to a sheet).

The SVG version will, of course, allow modification of the text.
I'll do a zip file which will include a set of basic directions, the SVG file in a couple of sizes, the KDE font so it can be installed on your system.
It will be available here, but if desired, will also be offered to be on the KDE servers.

This image is "full size" on the 12 sticker sheet.

And specifically for Carl Symons: (indicating that some tough things are possible)

This "sampler" image follows up the information from Riccardo Iaconelli that the fonts in general use for KDE4 are Liberation Sans and Droid.

The KDE Official Oxygen Logo is a trademark and the LGPL license applies to its use. The LGPL and trademark therefore extend to the stickers.
